The non-tritium rear offers the darkest sight face possible for a more precise 4-corner alignment and greater contrast against the bright colored front sight. The tactical benefits of the simple rear include keeping focus downrange and reducing distractions to the eye.

There is no correct answer in choosing a tritium rear vs. a non-tritium rear. Sight picture preferences are personal and can vary by application. Sights are purpose driven tools the need for a specific type of them may vary, whether in competition, use by law enforcement, home defense, or everyday carry. It all comes down to the specific function that the operator is looking to solve.

Tritium Products — XS Sights warrants all handgun sights containing tritium to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Tritium illumination is warranted to glow for twelve (12) years. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase is required for an RMA. If this product is found to be defective, the manufacturer's only obligation is to replace the product at the manufacturer's discretion, provided that the product has not been damaged through misuse, modifications, neglect, or mishandling. XS Sights will not be responsible for product removal or installation labor costs. — Tritium illumination will dim throughout the product's life and is not subject to warranty claims. This warranty shall not apply to the finish on any portion of the product or weathering, as this is considered normal wear and tear. Sights improperly installed are not subject to warranty. — Non-Tritium Products — XS Sights warrants all non-tritium products to be free from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase is required for an RMA.
