WALTHER FIREARMS
Walther Arms has been building some of the finest military and sporting arms available since 1886. The company's commitment to quality craftsmanship is evident in every firearm they produce, from the iconic Walther PPK to their cutting-edge Walther PPQ and Walther PDP-F.
Whether due to their plastic construction or their lack of tritium lamps, most Walther pistols are equipped with sights that are not ideal for EDC or a home defense gun. XS offers durable iron sights that will hold up to years of abuse and stay on the gun. Our sights come equipped with tritium to provide an illuminated sight picture in low light. Tritium glows for 10-years and does not require batteries or maintenance. We carry a variety of sight pictures tailored to specific shooting styles.
DXT2 Night Sights offer the fastest sight acquisition on the market. The Big Dot front sight and open rear sight allow a greater field of view down range, increasing the front sight acquisition speed. The simple in-line sight picture reduces sight alignment time by eliminating an extra focus point compared to traditional notch and post sights. The dot-the-i sight picture prevents confusing the front and rear sight while under stress or in low light. DXT2 Sights are available in a Standard Dot (0.140”) or Big Dot (0.188”) front sight.
R3D Nights offer an enhanced notch and post sight traditional sight picture, built for a life time of hard use. All XS sight systems are designed around highly visible front sights to enhance front sight focus. R3D sights feature a brighter tritium vial in the front sight to increase front sight focus. The rear features a simple blacked-out face with a wide notch to increase visible light around the front post.
XS front sights are equipped with our proprietary photoluminescent Ember Glow Dot technology. The Glow Dot features a high-contrast color in bright light, absorbs ambient light, and glows in low light. Ember is available in multiple colors to satisfy personal color preferences. DXT2 and R3D sights are available with a tritium or non-tritium rear option to fit your shooting style.
No matter what Walther model you have, XS Sights has a sight solution that will fit your needs.
Walther History
Walther has been building arms since 1886 and has been responsible for some of the most iconic firearms in history. In the early 1900's, Walther began making pistols and quickly established themselves as a leading manufacturer of handguns.
With the introduction of the Walther PP (Polizei Pistole - Police Pistol) in 1929, Walther emerged as a leader in double action triggers for semi-automatic handguns. It was quickly accepted by police agencies across Europe. That success was followed by the Walther PPK (Polizei Pistole Kriminal - Police Pistol Criminal), a subcompact sized variant designed for the Kriminalamt - the office of criminal investigators, in 1931.
The Wehrmacht's acceptance of the Walther P38 in 1938 was the beginning of the double action auto as a military sidearm. Featuring a new short recoil operating system, safety/decocking lever and stamped sheet metal construction components, the Walther P38 introduced many innovations still in use in today.
Walther's newest pistol, the Walther PDP-F, Walther continues to innovate. The new PDP-F is a striker fired 9MM designed specifically for females or people with diminished hand strength. In so doing, they've developed a slim, easily carried handgun suitable for any shooter.
With a rich history and commitment to quality, it's no wonder that Walther is still a leading manufacturer of handguns today.
