The second generation R3D family utilizes bigger and brighter tritium vials in the rear sight. The larger diameter convex polymer dot provides more visible indexing for precision alignment.
Dual-Illumination Tritium & Photoluminescent Front Sight
Our tritium front sights are equipped with a Swiss-made tritium vial and our proprietary photoluminescent Glow Dot. The photoluminescent properties offer a high-contrast color in bright and glows in low light in conjunction with the tritium.
No More Filing or Hammering
The new EasyPress features built into the R3D 2.0 dovetail parts eliminate the need for filing sights to fit your pistol's dovetail. By pairing a crush zone and lead-in edge, we have reduced the force needed for installation by up to 50%. The directional lead allows the sight to be pressed over 1/3 of the way through the slide's dovetail before full contact. Once full contact between the sight wall and the dovetail wall is made, the crush zone begins to collapse, making the rest of the installation easy.
Designed for Front Sight Focus
The blacked-out rear sight increases contrast against the front sight to ensure down-range focus. The anti-reflective surface has a slight downward angle and serrations to eliminate distractions from rear sight glare.
Equal Height, Equal Light
Our traditional notch and post-sight picture uses an industry-leading large notch width in the rear sight to increase front sight acquisition. The wide notch allows more light around the front post, which aids in sight alignment in low light, seeing the front sight while moving, and increasing front sight acquisition speed.
Extreme Corrosion Resistance for EDC Guns
The black nitride surface treatment offers over 50% more corrosion resistance protection when compared to black oxide to prevent rust and wear. The quench-polish-quench treatment process hardens the surface to protect against drops.
Built to Stay on the Gun
R3D Night Sights are easy to install but won't walk loose from drops and shooting. The steel sight acts as a spring when it is wedged in the dovetail. The opposing spring forces keep the sights in place.
