DXW2 tritium night sights feature our tried and proven Big Dot or Standard Dot front sight with a white stripe, non-tritium rear sight. The white stripe offers superior visibility of the vertical bar, which aids in sight alignment in bright light settings and performs well in low-light. The increased surface area of the white stripe also enhances visibility for shooters with farsighted vision issues.

DXW2 night sights are designed for defensive shooting, just like their sister family of DXT2 sights. DXW2 sights drive focus to the front sight using a high-contrast front and a V-notch rear for an unobstructed view of the front sight. DXW2 front sights use our proprietary photoluminescent Glow Dot that absorbs ambient light and glows in low light levels before it is dark enough to see the tritium. The dot-the-"i" sight picture prevents confusing the front and rear sights in high-stress situations.

Front Sight Size Options

Our second-generation express front sights are available in two sizes. The Big Dot measures 0.188" wide (Largest in the industry), and the Standard Dot measures 0.140" wide. Big dots are ideal for defensive shooting at moderate distances (15 to 20 Yards) and for shooters with poor eyesight that struggle to see traditional front sights. The standard dot is ideal for greater precision shooting at farther distances, or younger eyes, while still offering our tried and proven defensive express sight picture.

Color Options

Big Dots are available in Optic Yellow or Optic Orange color options, and Standard Dots are available in green. Our color choices were chosen based on the visible color spectrum (ROYGBIV: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet).

Big Dots are designed for defensive shooting. Defensive altercations happen in both bright light and low light. Our goal in choosing colors was to pick the most visible colors in bight light and to have a bright glowing front sight in low light. Optic Yellow glows the best in low-light, and Optic Orange offers the most contrast in bright light.

Standard Dots are only available in green. The bright green offers a high contrast front sight in bright light and glows brightly in low light. We chose not to provide an orange option for the launch of our Gen 2 Standard Dots because of the smaller surface area for light reflection to the eye. Green is good for bright light and glows almost as bright as our Optic Yellow Big Dot.

Orange is a trendy color front-sight option in the industry, but it is the second color that the cones in our eyes lose the ability to see in low light levels. The orange Big Dot uses our proprietary orange and is primarily based in the yellow color spectrum. The large surface area reflects 50% more light to the shooter's eye vs. the standard dot. Versatility

DXW2 sights offer an economical option for a blacked-out rear on our trapezoidal sights (Glocks). The entirely black rear is for minimalist shooters, who like 'drive the dot' speed shooting.

Easy Installation

We at XS are tinkerers and builders. If you have access to some basic tools, we encourage you to install your sights yourself! It will help you learn more about how your pistol works. Our DXW2 sights are installable with sight pusher tools or file-to-fit method (our preferred method).
We do offer installation services, but always recommend asking your local gun shop first. It's great to support local businesses, and they will most likely be able to install the sights on the spot or within a day or two.

With over 20 years of night sight manufacturing experience, we have learned that gunfights don’t happen in perfect light or complete darkness. They happen in between these two broad spectrums. Night sights don’t just need to glow in the dark. They need to be visible at all times.

During defensive altercations, you may experience an adrenaline rush that will cause your basic motor functions to become clumsy, fixated tunnel vision on the threat, and most likely both you and your attacker will be moving. Combat accuracy is crucial at this point, but people tend to not look at their sights when shooting in this situation (this is not point shooting). Our express sights ensure the big, colored, glowing front sight will be in your line of sight for a combat accurate sight picture that allows for a simple, sufficient alignment when there is insufficient time and distance between yourself and the threat.
