CSAT AR15 F/R Backup Sights
Quickly able to P/U the rear sight for quick 7 yard shots without having to account for the offset of my red dot.

Innovative CSAT aperture for your zeroing/holdover needs
Nice packaging from XS as always. This is an excellent backup sight that flexes very well into being a full-time iron sight, or folds away in a low profile until you need it. The CSAT aperture designed has notches for a 7 yard point of aim/point of impact, with a corresponding 100 yard zero for the small peep sight. And has a 0.2” large peep for normal low light or close range use. So you get a one-size-fits all in 1 package. Aperture clicks into position well with no looseness or wobble. The only design issue is that to fold the rear sight, the CSAT needs to be flipped down as well, so it is an additional step to get access to the aperture once folded up. It will also take training to distinguish between the 7 yards and the 100 yards as there is a small notch separating the two which depending on your distance from the sight, may appear blurry. I found that with putting in the reps in both dry and live practice, it was very doable. The CSAT Aperture is protected by ears, has a very definitive tactile and audible windage clicks. The sight base is made by Samson Manufacturing (Made in the USA), a well known aftermarket accessory maker. It feels plenty rugged, and has a very secure steel bar to prevent it from folding down until you decide to manually do so. The manual flip up operation is smooth with no burrs. Just note that if you are trying to get this to fit folded under an LPVO, you will need a 1.6” centerline height. Or you could go with the XS Offset sights to avoid this issue.
