Big Dot and Standard Dot Night Sights are defensive tritium sights designed to enhance your defense gun. The sights use a proprietary photoluminescent Glow Dot that absorbs ambient light and glows in low light. The convex dot's additional surface area increases light absorption, intensifying the charge of the Glow Dot. Designed to be large and highly visible, these sights help solve many issues, from aging eyes to deteriorating vision. We've found that the orange front tends to be most visible in daylight settings and that yellow glows brighter in low light, while green is an excellent option for low light and has a very bright glow intensity. XS Tritium Night sights are big, bright, and easy to see day or night!
The sights are CNC machined from solid steel bar stock by our in-house machine shop. We design, machine, and insert our tritium to produce the highest quality possible and provide American Made products.

Glues over front bead. Bead must be 0.120”-0.140” in diameter. Suggest Brownells #6 or #26 bead if factory is not of correct size. May require opening up bead hole to larger size by drilling & tapping. Mossberg factory bead with hex base must be replaced. The kit comes with a conversion bead for Mossberg shotguns.
Epoxy Over Existing #6 Bead. View Written Installation Instructions.

I bought a Big Dot for my Mossberg Shockwave. I had trouble with a high POI when shooting at close distances. Since the gun had a Crimson Trace Laser Saddle, I had to tip the barrel up for aiming. The Big Dot solved this problem...and now it's surprisingly accurate for such a short-barreled gun. I've been duly impressed - so much that I bought another for my Mossberg 500A.
The best ,especially for instructing a new shooter
If your shotgun came with a simple brass bead sight, this is one of the best upgrades you can make to your shotgun, imo. Much larger and highly visible both day and night in a variety of conditions. Easy installation. Just do it.
I ordered the white big dot front sight for the mossberg 500. It cowitness’s nicely with the aridus crom holosun mount that uses an xs rear sight. Great product easy to install.
Easy install. Fantastic sight picture. Third shotgun to get an XS sight. So much better than factory beads.
My Mossbergs came with a bead sight that was barely visible in the daytime, and certainly not usable in the nighttime, even with a mounted flashlight. I have had previous experience using a Fiber Optic snap on sight, but it was noticeably less durable than a built in fixed option. After a lot of research, everyone pointed me to XS Sights. Instructions and videos are all available, and installation was easy. The dot is basically bombproof when installed with JB weld. I've tried both the Tritium and Non-Tritium version, and I personally like the Tritium for dusk/dawn/twilight environments, but it's not a requirement, the basic big dot is usable as well. It draws your eye in quite well and helps in getting a good consistent cheek weld. This would be my recommendation if you don't want to install a rail+rear and front sight on your shotgun (XS makes that option as well).
